A cathartic story about two mischievous best friends in Northeastern Brazil. We go through a musical journey created by the entire ensemble, who foley all of the short stories told by Chico and John Cricket. Each soundscape was created by recording instruments used in Northeastern Brazil. There are also three complete songs that help tell the tale of the small town. The songs were created thought a collaborative process between Bailey Lee (guitar), Georgia Horton (flute), Michael Hongxun Huang (accordion), Sage Evans (rabeca), and Wes Guimaraes (composer). As we learn about the characters we eventually end up on a trial led by Manuel, Mary, Devil, and Satan- where each person must fight for their lives to see where they end up. I used various different mic effects to differentiate us from the god figures versus the folks of the town.

β€œHe knows hunger, and when he could no longer fight he prayed.”
